Quinte Symphony: Back at BandFest!

Quinte Symphony's Maestro Dan Tremblay and 6 other musicians from the orchestra were back at BandFest 3. They served as adjudicators, conductors and gave masterclasses to music students from 9 elementary schools.

Check out the great Intelligencer  article written about our March concert!

A good time was had by all at our recent Speakeasy fundraiser at the Belleville Club on Saturday March 3! Thank you for the tremendous support.

Another moving Tribute to the Brave at the National Air Force Museum of Canada!

Read a letter to the Editor (Belleville Intelligencer, Wednesday November 22 2017) from Hon Colonel John Williams:

BELLEVILLE - Concert was beautiful affair
I had the pleasure to attend the Tribute to the Brave concert on Sunday, Nov. 18 at the National Air Force Museum in Quinte West.
The concert included the Quinte Symphony led by music director Dan Tremblay, the 8 Wing Concert band led by WO Martin Labbe, the 8 Wing Pipes and Drums under the direction of Pipe Major Sgt. Josh McFarlane and the Canadian Military Wives Choir, Trenton Chapter.
The concert was a tribute to our brave men and women in the military, both past and present, and was in support of the Quinte Symphony and the National Air Force Museum.
It was a full house with around 500 people.
The concert was excellent with music from the eras of the First and Second World wars plus other selections and what a setting sitting next to the Halifax aircraft in the museum.
Sometimes I think we forget how fortunate we are to live in an area where we have such a great number of talented groups of musicians.
I want to thank all of them for being there and for making the concert a great success.
Thank you to all those who attended and all the sponsors.
Special thank you to Wing Commander Colonel Mark Gouldon and CWO Troy Zorro for their support as well.
It was a great afternoon. The finale was all the bands and choir coming together to play and sing Amazing Grace and, believe me, it was amazing.
John R. Williams
Honorary Colonel
